Happy New year to you all!!!!
I am so excited to welcome you into this new year, I also want to say thank you to every one of you who have been reading my blog and also to my new subscribers, I appreciate you all and I promise to bring you nothing but the best content this year…
Most of us have written down our goals for this year, and I want to believe we are already working on them… it is one thing to pen down your goals or have a vision board, and it is another thing to work towards seeing those goals achieved. Action they say speaks louder than words. What can we do to attain full success not just this year but in other years to come? in achieving a goal these three things are very vital.
1] F O C U S: It is very easy for one to be distracted especially when you see others doing “well”, come to think of it, they probably were minding their business and focusing on the task in front of them instead of looking at what the other person is doing or not doing. We have different lessons to learn on our journey, while it might take a short period of time for others to get to their destination, others might have to wait a little longer. Do not let someone else’s success be the yardstick for yours, if you have to change your technique do it, if you have to go back to your drawing board to look for errors go ahead and do it… Do not be everywhere busy doing nothing…
2]C O N S I S T E N C Y: January just started and the first week is usually very easy until you get to the second or third week and you are already feeling overwhelmed. I love to have someone I can be accountable to especially when I know I have a tough road ahead. Having an accountability partner really helps to keep one on track. Do not expect things to go on smoothly, life has a way of taking us by surprise. Listen to your body, know when to pause and breathe, be conscious of your mental health…. I had a lot of mental breakdown last year and I had to learn to listen to my body. if you are not sound mentally nothing will seem right and you will just be existing instead of living. There is a lot for you to learn, there is character to be built, there is a pattern to be broken, there is a height to be attained…. all these can only be manifested when you are consistent.
3]P A T I E N C E: My mom would always say Rome wasn’t built in a day… Do not be too hard on yourself, remember that habit wasn’t learnt in a day and unlearning it will also require time and patience, The blog/business might not be bringing in money yet but someday it will… be patient, Do not look back and begin to doubt your decisions just because the outcome you expected isn’t what you are seeing… PATIENCE IS KEY
FOCUS, CONSISTENCY AND PATIENCE isn’t just a new years thing it is an everyday thing… it is a lifestyle.
If you do not know what to commit to this year here are a list of things you could do
- Reading at least two books in a month.
- volunteering at a shelter.
- Taking an online course.
- writing on the things you are passionate about, you don’t have to be a professional writer. someone’s life can be changed from that single piece of writing.
- you can commit to spending more time with God and studying your bible.
- learn a skill/skills (photography, tailoring, video and picture editing, etcetera)
- joining a support group if you have some kind of habit or addiction you are willing to work on.
I know there are a bunch of tips out there but these are my go tips and I hope it works out for you. stay blessed and have a great day ahead.
