SELF IDENTITY CRISIS AND THE BELIEVER: HOW TO OVERCOME IT PART 2

This is a continuation of self identity crisis you can click HERE to read part 1.

Key points to note from Genesis chapter 3 verse 1-6

  1. The Devil is not your friend, he came in a tricky manner acting like he cared but he did not.
  2. you do not stay and have a conversation with the devil, rebuke him in the name of Jesus and move on with your life. remember Give the enemy no foothold Ephesians 4:27
  3. Disobedience is one of the easiest tricks the enemy uses to make us forget our identity in Christ

someone once said the Enemy is like a fake artist, he paints a fake picture of you and makes you believe that is who you are.

Jesus already painted a picture of our lives from his own life (remember you are created in Gods image and he died for you) that is the only picture we are meant to be looking at.

IGNORING GOD AND HIS WORD IS IGNORING YOUR TRUE IDENTITY

  • you are a child of God bought by the precious blood of Jesus.
  • God has called us blessed, redeemed, loved, victorious, sanctified, righteous, his workmanship.

Anything outside of what God has said you are is a lie and you have no business with it.

SO HOW CAN ONE  OVERCOME IDENTITY CRISIS?
  1. Studying and meditating on Gods word.
  2. Prayer

These two things cannot be overemphasized they are your weapon.

Psalm 119 verse 105
