TOO BUSY FOR GOD? SERIES 2

Hy  Dear Reader welcome back to todays blog.

I began a series last week based on the above topic, if you did not get to read it please kindly click HERE so you can catch up. Todays blog post would be a continuation from where I stopped last week.

TIP NO 4: ONLY GOD SATISFIES

Too busy for God
True satisfaction comes from God, not things or people

No matter the kind of satisfaction your job or whatever it is that is keeping you busy brings, only God can truly satisfy you, he alone can feel up voids. The things you are enjoying today are only temporary meaning they would fade…. bear in mind that no one and nothing will stick to you and be by your side patiently, with all consistency, without an iota of complaining like God would.

TIP NO 5: GOD IS YOUR LIFE NOT PART OF YOUR LIFE

Too busy for God
God is your life

God is the Core of your Being, take him away and there would be no you… He is not a substitute so nothing should ever come before him. you do not go on with  life without consulting the one who gave you the life in the first place, you do not get to live it carelessly. This is a truth I had/have to keep reminding myself daily and it is something I would urge you reading this post to bear in mind, it would really shift your focus and you would no longer see God as an accessory because he isn’t and would never be.

Remember every day you wake up is a gift you contributed nothing into creating a new day.

TIP NO 6:  Do The needful

Too Busy for God
Do the Needful

One of my favorite chapters of the bible is Luke chapter 10:38-42

As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem they came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed them into her home. 39 Her sister Mary sat on the floor, listening to Jesus as he talked.

40 But Martha was the jittery type and was worrying over the big dinner she was preparing.

She came to Jesus and said, “Sir, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”

41 But the Lord said to her, “Martha, dear friend, you are so upset over all these details! 42 There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it—and I won’t take it away from her!”

Isn’t it amazing how much we get too caught up in activities and forget to do the needful which is staying at the masters feet and communing with him in prayer and study of the word. Martha was upset because while she was Preparing Dinner her sister was busy with Jesus listening intently to what he had to say. One would think Jesus was going to ask Mary to go help her sister out but He didn’t. It just goes to show how much God loves to fellowship with his beloved, nothing gets Him as excited as one who is willing to continuously and consciously spend time in His presence. I am not asking you not to take care of your business for the day, you can do that and still fellowship with God by meditating on his word, talking to him, singing, which ever way you want. God loves to be involved so involve Him.

I really hope this tips helped…

I am thinking of doing more series so please stay tuned for that.

Too Busy for God

TOO BUSY FOR GOD? SERIES 1

Too busy for God?
When life Happens

Todays topic is quite a sensitive one, because it is something I have been battling with for the past one month.

I have been really busy for quite some time now, and I was failing at managing my time.

I want to believe I am not alone on this one, and even if I am, it would be nice for me to share my experiences and help someone out there who is trying to figure out how to properly manage their time and not prioritize other things above God.

How do I manage to

*Have quality time with my creator without timing myself because if I don’t, that would be me loosing time.

*keep fit ( I suck at working out at home so going to the gym is really essential for me)

*work 9hrs at my job

*write for my blog and post before the deadline which has been given (for those who do not know, most companies which we bloggers work with, gives us a stipulated time for us to review their items on our blogs.

*Focus on quality and not just quantity pertaining my blog

*Have quality time for myself and the people I love.

*study for my upcoming Exams

These were some of the issues I was faced with, it is a lot but I would stop here.

I somehow managed to make time for all of these things but I was failing in the most important aspect of my life which is HAVING TIME FOR GOD.

BY the time I am eventually done with work for the day, I have dinner and all I can think about is sleeping….. At times I get carried away with some activities which I missed out on during the day and before you know it I AM SLEEPING ALREADY.

It is the next day, I manage to wake up early because I have to, it is time to pray but I am dozing off, I decide to sleep a bit more and time is going.

I quickly wake up, get ready for the gym and the day continues……. The cycle continues….

Maybe your story is similar to mine or worst than mine, you feel like you have lost it completely and you want to get back on track and have that amazing relationship you used to have with God before things took another Turn.

With Gods help I was able to gradually get back on track, I am not fully there but this tips I am about to share has helped me tremendously.

TIP NO 1: ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS A PROBLEM

If you do not realize there is a problem, how would you get the help that you need?

I had to have a deep conversation with myself and by doing so the need for change sprang up within me.

The first step in solving a problem is being aware that there is a problem and you are left with a decision of either solving the problem or not.

TIP NO 2: THE DEVIL DOES NOT WANT YOU TO PRAY, DO NOT GIVE INTO HIM

Too busy for God
Give the devil no room.

The second tip was gotten  from one of the bible studies we had in church and it stuck with me. Have you realized that we can go about our day doing things that do not benefit, watch all episodes of a series without blinking an eye, engage in meaningless conversations…..

But when it comes to communing with God in prayers we automatically shut down, we get bored… why so? if we truly love this God.

The devil knows there is so much power, wisdom, strength, revelation when we spend time with God and so he looks for means to distract us.

DO NOT GIVE INTO HIS TRICKS.

TIP NO 3: ASK GOD FOR WISDOM

No one can understand your struggles like God would, so prayerfully ask him for wisdom on what to do in that area which you are failing…..

I WOULD CONTINUE THE TIPS ON THE  NEXT BLOG WHICH IS RELATED TO FAITH SO PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR THAT.

Be sure to leave your comments and suggestions

Have a great day ahead…..

faster

FASTER THAN GOD OR WHAT? MUST READ

Run faster, move faster…. everyone is in a rush to get somewhere but what happens when our attempt to be fast takes us out of God’s plan for us?

Earlier this week I was speaking with my dad and he said something which left me thinking the whole day. A quick shout out to all the dads out there who keep encouraging their kids and making sure they are on the right path we appreciate you all.

Back to the topic…

My dad was eavesdropping on my conversation with my mum and after listening to my complaints he lovingly said…..

You cannot run faster than God. Each time I have conversations with my dad I end up thinking deep and having a conversation with myself, this time wasn’t an exception.

  1. Am I trying to play God without even realizing it?
  2. Am I running faster than God?
  3. What do I do now? how do I fix this?

Question 1: yes I was, and so does most of us.

But how do I play God someone might ask? good question… Have you ever asked someone to help you do something you are very good at, but due to some reasons you cant do it by yourself?  this person lovingly offers to help and does a terrific job but somehow you are not pleased because you feel you are a G at that particular thing and no one can do it perfectly….. We do the same with God, we run to him and ask him for help talking about those that ask him for help because some people don’t they feel they don’t need God. so you run to God and cry to Him He reassures you and lets you know He has everything covered and in Control, Guess what you do? you start running things on your own terms you even give God your terms and conditions. This is not you trying to ask a friend to help you out on something you are good at but cannot accomplish at that moment, This is God we are talking about and you can never be smarter than Him. How foolish of us to think we can help ourselves….

Stop trying to play God…. God’s foolishness  will always be wiser than the wisdom of man He is called the all knowing and wise God for a reason.

Question 2: I am sure most of us have heard this saying and I quote YOU CAN NEVER BE FASTER THAN YOUR SHADOW… I am not comparing God to a shadow because He is too great to be compared with that, it is just an illustration. You see how your shadow is always ahead of you? that is nothing compared to how God is ahead of us. We see the now God sees the future and before you got to the point where you are at the moment God saw it way ahead of time .

Faster than God?
Lead me on God and I will run after you

Stop trying to move to another point in your life when God is saying hold on my daughter/son your journey here is not yet done you still have some growing up to do, you still have people you need to meet, you still have some relationships to let go of, you are still lagging behind in your commitment, you still have some habits to break….. you cannot go on  to the next phase with the same baggage you have in this phase. Let God take the lead and you just run after Him.

Question 3: One of my best prayers to pray is God help me I need you to strengthen me and while you strengthen me help me and teach me to trust you. you cannot walk with God relying on the strength from yesterday because everyday comes with different responsibilities. God loves a sincere heart and he is always ready to hear you and come to your aid.

Be sure to leave your comments and suggestions I would love to hear from you.

Have an amazing day ahead

WHEN WORDS FAIL YOU!!!

Life can seem really overwhelming at times and no amount of words can do justice to how we feel, what do you do at that moment?

It is a new week and in todays blog I just want to encourage someone, which is always my intention whenever I pick up my laptop or iPad to write. Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you find it difficult to understand yourself? I mean you know something is going on within or even around you but you just cant seem to find the right words to describe the situation you are in.

words fail you, nothing feels right, you feel stuck, everything suddenly becomes irritating…..

I am not a super human, I also have this kind of days and all I wish for most of the times is for that feeling to just go away. One of my favorite scriptures to Read is psalms 139, this scripture just paints the picture of a man who just like me has days and moments when nothing makes sense, life seems so complicated and nothing feels right but he knows there is a supernatural force (God ) who knows him more than he knows himself.

This scripture reminds me of the kind of lover God is.

God is a lover who is so intentional about the one he loves, in those moments when I don’t understand myself He understands me that is something you can not get from any human not even your shrink. People can only suggest things to you which they feel will make you feel better but God knows exactly where it hurts.

Jesus has you Covered
When words fail the love of Jesus abounds forever

I pray the Holy spirit Ministers to your heart as you read this scripture and carry on with the rest of your week. Stay tuned for Wednesdays post as I would be explaining more on this chapter.

PSALMS 139:1-17 (TLB VERSION )

1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought.

3 You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am.

4 You know what I am going to say before I even say it.

5 You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe!

7 I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there.

9 If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me, your strength will support me.

11 If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me.

12 For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you.

13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb.

14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it.

15 You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion!

16 You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!

17-18 How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me.[a] And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me.

You are not alone….

Have a blessed week ahead

A FATHERS LOVE

We began studying the book of Ephesians in church and one of the things I have been pondering about has been the chapter one verse 4

Ephesians chapter 1 verse 4

Long ago, even before He made the world, God chose us to be His very own through what Christ would do for us; He decided then to make us holy in His eyes, without a single fault—we who stand before Him covered with His love.

The first line says long ago even before God made the world God chose us to be His very own through what Christ would do for us. This just opened me up to even a greater understanding of God’s love. God being the God that He is knew all that was going to happen before hand, He knew man ( you and I ) would fall short, He knew we can never live up to his standards so He made a way out for us through His son Jesus.

If I as an individual knows beforehand someone was going to hurt me, it is only wise that I stay away from such a person but it wasn’t so in God’s case He devised a plan He did not stay away from us or decide not to create you and I instead He created a means through which we would be closer to Him He did that through the person of Jesus. God is so intentional about every single one of us both the saved and the unsaved.

Jesus did not die for just the saved or a selected number He died for us all and all we had/have to do was/is believe in Him and what He did for us on the cross so we can be partakers of His inheritance.

I don’t know what you have heard in the past, or maybe you have heard this in the past am just here to remind you of God’s love for you, you are not just an outcome of a one night stand, you are not another statistic, you are not a failure, you are not a disaster waiting to happen, you are not retarded you are not a bastard God took His time to plan out your life even before He thought about creating the world. God did not just wake up on the 6th day and decided you know what I need to create a human being no He had a perfect plan before the 6th day, He put so much thought into creating you.

Live in this knowing regardless of what you are going through or have been through that you have a father who always walks with you even in the fire and loves you dearly.

Most times we hear things like I love you because you are beautiful/ handsome, I love you because you make me happy or you make me smile, I love you because you are smart….. e.t.c or maybe we have said such to someone.

What happens when an unforeseen circumstance let’s say a car crash happens and that beautiful face is no longer recognisable or that smart guy/lady develops amnesia and can’t think right again what happens when that person no longer makes you smile?

you see we humans most times love with a condition attached to it but we have a God who loves us not because of who we are or what we have done or what we can offer Him. God’s love is unconditional, it is intentional, it stands the test of time, His love grows deeper it never diminishes.

Jesus loves you, it is  His desire to see you saved, all you need to do is accept His love, believe that He died for you and on the finished work of the cross. His arms are widely opened to receive you.

THE GIDEON RULE!!! (part 2 )

Last week I wrote on the GIDEON RULE PART 1, if you didn’t get to read that blog kindly click HERE . Today’s blog would be a conclusion of the Gideon rule.

Judges chapter 7:4-6

Verse 4: Then the Lord said to Gideon, “There are still too many people; bring them down to the water and I will test them for you there. Therefore it shall be that he of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go with you; but everyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.”

Verse 5: So he brought the people down to the water, and the Lord said to Gideon, “You shall separate everyone who laps the water with his tongue as a dog laps, as well as everyone who kneels down to drink.”

Verse 6: Now the number of those who lapped [the water], putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men, but all the rest of the people kneeled down to drink water.

The sieving and selection process continues.

In the last blog I listed out four points and I will continue from there today.

Number 5: As He says unto you do it

We see God telling Gideon in the verse 4 that it is only the ones He ( God) chooses that will go for war. Have you ever been in a situation where God asked you to do something and you begin to second guess Him? I have been in such situations on numerous occasions and I must say those times I doubted his voice and decided to play smart were the dumbest moments of my life. Most days I wake up I ask God to teach me to obey Him because I have learnt You cannot outsmart your creator.

Number 6: Nothing will make sense 95 % of the time.

I can’t help but imagine what thoughts were running through Gideon’s mind when God told Him in the verse 5 to separate those who lapped water with their tongues like dogs and the ones who knelt down to drink water. Like God seriously you couldn’t look for any other strategy? Imagine God asking you to leave your multimillion dollar company and go evangelize in a remote village I am sure most of us would ask God to speak again. When nothing makes sense remember the Number 5 ( as he says unto you do it ) I pray God teaches us to trust Him because without trust in God your walk with Him would be very difficult.

Why would God choose those who lapped the water like dogs over those who knelt down to drink?

Dogs do not have cheeks like we humans do and so they have been conditioned to lap water with their tongues it is very convenient for them but inconvenient for us humans because we haven’t been conditioned that way ( we have cheeks which enables us hold water in our mouth). There is nothing convenient about war and even if God was the one fighting their battles he needed men who would be able to withstand all of the challenges and inconveniences that comes with going for war. I don’t know much about wars but I know they can go days without eating, bathing and with very little or no water to drink. God saw men who were willing to go the extra mile men who would risk their lives for the peace of their nation  men who didn’t care if the situation was convenient or not men who were willing to humble themselves and drink water like dogs. God saw all of this things ahead of time which was why he used this strategy. I guess the ones who bent down to drink to their full were already tired even before the real journey had started. God is indeed the master planner.

Number 7: quality over quantity

A journey which began with thirty thousand men was downsized to three hundred and it did not stop God from accomplishing his plan. Take a moment to think have you been more concerned and focused on quantity rather than quality? Do you measure your relationship with God by the number of times you pray, Go to church, fast, give alms, read your Bible e.t.c ( I am not saying it is bad to do this things) rather than intimacy with him. Because you can do all of this things and still not have a relationship with God.

Are you more concerned about having a bunch of people in your life even when they are not adding any spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and financial value to your life all because you don’t want to be alone or because you want to be associated with the so called “happening people “ ?

Shift your focus.

I hope you were blessed by the Gideon rule as much as I was.

Feel free to leave your comments.

Have a blessed day ahead.

THE GIDEON RULE!!!(part 1)

While I was studying the book of judges the seventh chapter to be precise, God opened my eyes to see something amazing like he always does and which I will be Sharing part of it in today’s blog and post the other part in the next blog so stay tuned for that.

God chose Gideon for an Assignment which was for him to save his people from the medianites. The medianites were terrorizing the people of Israel and God chose Gideon as the man who would lead an army to fight against this people. Like any person in this situation would do, Gideon chose the “best men “ those he believed were capable and strong enough to go for war 32,000 men in total. Let us see what the Bible says in judges chapter 7:1-3(TLB version)

Chapter 1: Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon—his other name) and his army got an early start and went as far as the spring of Harod. The armies of Midian were camped north of them, down in the valley beside the hill of Moreh.

Chapter 2: The Lord then said to Gideon, “There are too many of you! I can’t let all of you fight the Midianites, for then the people of Israel will boast to me that they saved themselves by their own strength!

Chapter 3: Send home any of your men who are timid and frightened.” So twenty-two thousand of them left, and only ten thousand remained who were willing to fight.

Our main focus for today’s blog will be the chapter two and three. Now here is what I learnt.

Number 1: not everyone who you began your journey with will end the journey with you in other words you will lose a lot of people along the way. When I say lose I don’t mean death in this context I mean some people in your life will have to stay behind in order for you to continue your journey. This is a really bitter pill to chew especially when you have made plans with such people and you already saw yourself accomplishing so many milestones with them. What if just like Gideon God is saying to you my daughter/my son this people you feel you need on this journey with me, really have no role to play it is time to let them go or what if God is saying this people/person would only end up being a distraction and I need you to be focused…. we need to understand that keeping people in our lives beyond their season can be fatal, you can miss out on a major breakthrough all because you were stuck with someone at a time and place where you weren’t meant to be. Remember God knows the end from the beginning and it would do us so much Good and prevent us from harm if we can trust and obey him. Do not try to bargain with God Let God keep the people in your life which he intends to keep. Why was God asking Gideon to get rid of some of the men? He said because they would boast that they saved themselves by their own strength, this leads me to my second point.

Number 2: Never put your trust in man or your own self: your trust should be in God who is accomplishing that great thing through you or through someone else. Never make the mistake of taking the glory. Take a moment to think, are there people or a person in your life whom you feel you are nothing without or you feel if that person walks out on you, or stops funding your project then you are finished? well if there is anybody like that am sorry but you need to sit down and make some adjustments. God doesn’t bring people into our lives for them to take His place, He brings them so he can accomplish something through them for you so nothing should ever take God’s place . I have come to realize that one of the reasons God intentionally takes some people out of our lives is because we have become too dependent on them instead of the God who brought them into our lives. It would only take someone who truly loves God to realize that God is only using them to accomplish his will every other person would take the glory and rub it in your face. Take your eyes off your self and man and fix your eyes on Jesus. I am not saying don’t appreciate people or acknowledge the good they are doing for you all I am saying is they should never take God’s place.

The chapter 3 talks about God asking Gideon to send home any of his men who are timid or frightened.

Number 3: please do not force anyone to follow the path which you have chosen all because you don’t want to be alone you are setting yourself up for failure. I guess Gideon did not take the time out to ask the people if they wanted to go for war or not, he just chose them without knowing they were full of fear, thank God for His wisdom, imagine if God had not asked him to carry out this exercise of selection.. Ask God for wisdom when it comes to making or taking any decision. You don’t just choose anyone for a life changing event or experience, look beyond physical appearance. You need people who are like minded people who aren’t fearful because honestly fear would stop you from accomplishing even the smallest of tasks. You need faith boosters not fear boosters.

As I bring this writeup to a conclusion here is my final point

Number 4: keep your ears and your heart open. Be spiritually sensitive, let the ears of your spirit be open constantly so you know when God is speaking and when it is just your mind or the enemy playing games with you.

Let your heart be open to whatever God intends to do, do not harden your heart when God speaks, imagine if Gideon had disobeyed, there are times when it won’t make sense but the Beauty of it is surrendering to His will. Keep your heart teachable.

How do I know when it is time to let go of some people?

First of all letting go of some folks doesn’t mean fighting with them or telling them how useless they are, it is spiritual discernment and letting God work his wisdom in you. Most of the times from my experience, God will raise up situations or events which would make it really clear for you, at times he would use those people to give you signals ( don’t ignore those signals). He would speak to you through his word or even in prayers He is not the author of confusion and I believe He will guide you to make the right decisions and give you wisdom on how to go about it.

Have a fruitful week ahead

ARE YOU SETTLING?

Last week I was speaking with my Dad and after telling him some of the challenges I was having he said this to me a lion can never give birth to a goat, I am a lion who has birthed a lioness, you carry my genes and because I have accomplished so many things in my life through God’s help even through the toughest of times you would also accomplish yours. I know who I gave birth to and she is as tough and persevering as I am. This words sent down chills within my spine, after I had dropped the call i began to think as usual.

When Jesus died for us and we received him as our lord and personal saviour something happened and you know what that was? An exchange happened. Yes our sinful nature I would love to say our genes were automatically changed because a new life was given and the old life was taken making us new creatures. Created in God’s image, automatically becoming his children and carrying within us his genes.

Since we are Gods children why do we exhibit traits which are not of our father and settle for less than what he has intended for us?

Why are we timid? so full of fear, why do we feel inferior? why can’t we speak out? why are we not living the life our father has called us to live? why are you hiding in a box? why are you letting life pass you by? why are you just existing and not living? why are you living in pity? why do you always want to quit when you are faced with a challenge? why are you not committed to the little God has placed in your hands?why are you not letting God’s light shine through you?

Dear reader the truth is life is full of challenges and you will face a whole lot of those challenges but you have not been called to walk that path alone, you have a father who is always present to encourage you, walk that journey with you and most importantly love you even when you don’t love yourself so stop listening to the devil you are not alone. God is saying I know my child, I believe in his /her abilities so Run to your father you are the son/daughter of the most excellent God you carry His genes, you are not allowed to settle for less than what He has called you for.

A PERSON WOULD ALWAYS GIVE BIRTH TO ITS KIND YOU ARE GODS KIND—by Beauty

FIVE KEYS TO CHASING YOUR DREAMS/VISION !!!

One of the reasons why God’s word is so amazing is the fact that even when you have read it a million times, there is always something new which the Holy Spirit reveals to you as long as you are open to his teachings. In my last blog I talked about the book of Habakkuk the chapter 2. If you didn’t read that please kindly click here. I went back to study that chapter and I got a new revelation from it which I am about to share.

Habakkuk chapter 2:1

I will stand at my guard post And station myself on the tower; And I will keep watch to see what He will say to me, And what answer I will give [as His spokesman] when I am reproved.

The whole point of verse one will be missed if you don’t understand what led the prophet into beginning his statement that way. From the chapter one it was recorded that he had a vision where God showed him things about his nation and all of the hardships they were going to be faced with, so when he woke up from that vision he began by saying he will stand at his guard post and station himself I began to imagine him like a security man whose duty is to watch over a house and it is paramount that he doesn’t leave his post. So how does this relate to me as an individual?

It means there is a place of calling God has designated and intended for me to stay and grow in. God gave this prophet a vision and the first step in getting to understand this vision is/was.

1. BE AT YOUR PLACE OF CALLING

Do not try to follow the crowd, don’t stay back in a place because your friends are there when clearly you know that is not where God intends for you to be, do not run with other people’s vision remember he did not say I will stand at someone else’s guard post . Imagine asking a fish to stay on dry Land, you and I know it would not survive why because it wasn’t created for land it has been designed by God to live, grow and enjoy its best life in water. You thrive better when you are in a place where God has asked you to be in and If things don’t go well you can always run back to God and let Him know he led you to that direction in the first place.

Next he said i will keep watch to see what he will say to me. Which brings me to my second point

2. KEEP YOUR EYES FIXED ON JESUS

He anticipated to hear what God had to say about this vision and the only way for him not to be distracted was to keep his eyes open and fixed on God. Staying at your place of calling is good but it’s definitely not enough. you do not sleep at your duty post you stay alert and look out for intruders. You need to keep asking God what next? Should I stay or should I move e.t.c I also see this as wisdom because when you have a Godgiven vision who else to receive instructions from if not from the one who gave you the vision? truth is whatever you have your eyes fixed on, your other senses as a matter of fact, your whole body connects to that one thing so as you keep looking onto jesus and seeking Him your whole senses just connects to Him and you don’t miss out on any step. Apart from receiving instructions when we keep our eyes fixed on Him, you don’t get distracted you don’t loose sight of the job on ground, the Devil no longer has any chance to lie to you or come through people who will try to talk you out of that vision. Chapter 2 verse 2

Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run.

3.KEEP A REMINDER

in the case of Habakkuk the vision he had was for a nation and while he was waiting to hear from God, God asked him to write down the vision so it could serve as a reminder what a great idea. What is the importance of writing down a goal/ vision/ dream….. let’s see the next verse

Chapter 2 verse 3

“For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.

4.DO NOT GIVE UP ON A GOD GIVEN VISION/ DREAM/ ASSIGNMENT.

God knew things will come up that will try to hinder that dream from coming to pass which was why he said to write it down so that when you are discouraged, or you feel God has lied to you which of course is not true,  nothing is working out, you feel you made the biggest mistake of your life  or maybe you have even forgotten what the dream was, you can always go back to your reminder and before you know it you become encouraged again. As I bring this write up to a close I want to let you know something

5.NEVER PURSUE A DREAM OR VISION WITH THE MINDSET THAT ALL WILL GO SMOOTHLY.

you can see from the verse 3 that God Himself said even though it delays meaning there would be delays, your bank account might even go red, people will talk you down, you will feel like a looser when you see those you started before already at the top but wait patiently it will happen at the appointed time and it won’t delay a single second when it is time.
